Louise Haigh MP Fighting for Sheffield's future
Last night I intervened in the debate on school uniform costs – thanks to all those who got in touch to share their views. Schools must make value for money their top priority when sourcing uniform because too many parents are left struggling when term-time comes around. Part of the problem is that parents are often required to buy branded-clothing and PE kits which are so much more expensive than the same item of clothing available elsewhere.
The Government can help by issuing guidance to schools to make sure that parents aren’t being ripped off by expensive suppliers.
