It was a pleasure to be able to visit the re-opening of the Lowedges Community Centre on Gresley Road on Easter Monday. The Lowedges, Batemoor and Jordanthorpe Community Forum have done brilliant work in getting the three month refurbishment from Sheffield City Council, with three new rooms, improvements and new activities at the centre.

Thanks to local volunteers Brenda, Craig and Greg, former councillor Julie Gledhill and Lord Mayor Denise Fox for joining me at the reopening – they even let me help cut the cake.
