David Cameron promise a Victims Law in 2015 (when Labour first called for it in our manifesto). Victims are failed at every stage in our criminal justice system, whether it’s the young women who were victims of grooming in Rotherham, the victims of John Worboys or people who are unable even to get a police response when they’ve been burgled because of the horrendous cuts. Labour are calling for the rights of victims to be enshrined in law so that these horrendous occurrences cannot happen again. Watch my intervention here.
