Louise at Gleadless Primary School

Today I visited Gleadless Primary School, where they’ve recently had new facilities built specially for their Key Stage 2 Pupils. The new site offers new facilities, playgrounds, outdoor spaces and playing fields for the children.

This month the pupils were focusing on one of their school values, respect, and it was a pleasure to see them engaging with it so well. Among other classes I dropped in to see a class working on their creative writing and editing skills.

We also spoke about the fantastic work that the school, and its partners at Arbourthorne are doing to supporting young carers, including working with Sheffield Young Carers. I’d encourage any parents or others who want to help to sign my petition calling for free travel for young carers.
