Last week I held a Westminster Hall debate on the appalling humanitarian situation in Gaza. Electricity and healthcare are very limited, and the situation is perilous for many thousands. I’m supporting an independent investigation by the UN, which the Government abstained on last week, supporting recognition of Palestine, aid for the UN’s OCHA and UNRWA organisations and ensuring Israel ends its illegal blockade and occuptation. The situation is desperate, and the UK bears an unique responsibility to help resolve it. Watch my speech here.
