It was lovely to pop in to the Methodist Church in Greenhill for a session of Rhythm Time yesterday.

This week is National Early Years Music Week, and Rhythm Time have been holding special classes full of fun activities to raise awareness of the benefits that music and singing can bring to a child.

I was fascinated to hear about how singing, instruments and basic components of music can boost memory, creativity, confidence, coordination and even a better understanding of maths!

I was lucky enough to learn a musical instrument growing up and I believe passionately that every child should have the same opportunity. Thank you to Sarah, Adele, Sally and all those attending for such a lovely warm welcome.
