Louise Haigh MP Fighting for Sheffield's future
I recently had the honour of opening the ceremony for this year’s Inspiring Youth Awards, which are organised and funded by South Yorkshire Police.
The scheme is designed to help young people in Sheffield and Rotherham to develop their personal skills, solve problems, and set goals. Those who take part act as mentors to one another and are encouraged to take on a more active role in their schools and communities.
It’s always gratifying to see young people take on personal challenges and succeed so I was very glad to attend the ceremony and recognise the achievements of everyone who took part in this year’s awards. Thank you to South Yorkshire Police for inviting me to attend and well done to all the participants.
