As a result of the coronavirus crisis, Northern Ireland
As a result of the coronavirus crisis, Northern Ireland's supply routes are becoming more fragile by the day.

I have called on the UK government to act urgently to protect the critical supply chains that bring food, medicines and equipment to Northern Ireland.

As a result of the coronavirus crisis, Northern Ireland’s supply routes are becoming more fragile by the day and haulage firms are close to collapsing. Just two passenger flights are operating to and from Northern Ireland and, last week, a P&O vessel carrying freight destined for Northern Ireland was impounded at Liverpool.

I have written to Chancellor Rishi Sunak to ask that he urgently approve a financial support package for hauliers, ports, airports to keep the supply chain between Northern Ireland and Britain open.

People in Northern Ireland need the UK government to intervene. They cannot afford any more delay or incompetence from Westminster.
