Louise Haigh MP Fighting for Sheffield's future
Following an update with the Department for Health and Social Care, I’m continuing to encourage residents to ensure they get fully vaccinated to help control the spread of Covid.
Evidence now seems to show that the Omicron variant is less severe than previous variants although cases across Yorkshire still remain high.
We have all lived with Covid now for almost two years and although this variant isn’t as severe, it is still important that everyone gets fully vaccination. The majority of people in Intensive Care in our hospitals are people who have not been vaccinated.
If you’ve not had your first, second or booster jab then please either book an appointment or attend one of the many walk-in clinics across the city. Everyone has made so many sacrifices to keep each other safe – we mustn’t let our past sacrifices go to waste.
