Louise Haigh MP Fighting for Sheffield's future

Louise Haigh, MP for Sheffield Heeley, has hit out at Sheffield-based Excel Parking Services and other employers who have been exposed in new government data for failing to pay the National Living and National Minimum Wage.
The figures, published by the Department for Business and Trade in May 2025, show that Excel Parking Services Limited, based in S9, failed to pay £3,125 to 14 workers, denying each employee an average of more than £220 in legally owed wages.
The latest naming list also includes Ant Marketing, which owed over £46,000 to 340 employees, as well as Globeline Estates and Inkermanv Silver, both named as part of the Department for Business and Trade’s announcement.
In total, 518 employers across the UK were named and shamed for breaches that resulted in £7.4 million being clawed back for nearly 60,000 workers.
This follows a significant uplift to the National Living Wage and National Minimum Wage, putting £1,400 into the pockets of full-time workers on NLW and supporting millions of families across the country.
This is not the first time Sheffield employers have been caught underpaying workers. In 2024, it was reported that eight local companies—including Tuffnells Parcels Express, Fieldrose Ltd, and Queenscourt Ltd—were ordered to repay more than £470,000 in unpaid wages to staff.
Louise Haigh MP for Sheffield Heeley said:
“It’s shameful that some employers in Sheffield are still failing to pay even the legal minimum.
These figures shine a spotlight on a wider issue. While the rise in the minimum wage is welcome, it needs to be matched with effective enforcement, so employers know they can’t get away with breaking the rules.
I want to see Ministers doing even more to hold bad employers to account and to protect workers’ rights. No one in our city should be putting in a full shift and going home without fair pay in their pocket.”
