At my first Northern Ireland Questions, I warned the Government that their failure to consult with devolved leaders on changes to public health messaging was disrespectful and damaging.

UK-wide coordination and consultation is essential in fighting coronavirus, and Number 10 must not go it alone.

Due to the unique situation in Northern Ireland, it is equally important that the government cooperates with the Republic of Ireland. Unfortunately, currently, those living in Northern Ireland but holding an Irish passport are unable to check their eligibility for the government’s Self Employed Support Scheme.

The Secretary of State must ensure the spirit and letter of the Good Friday Agreement is upheld, and that people can access support urgently.
