Bus operators have announced further cuts to services across the city. Responding to these cuts.

Louise Haigh MP for Sheffield Heeley, said:

“Hearing of further bus cuts is a huge blow for many passengers across the city, those who rely on a bus network to get to work, medical appointments or visiting friends and family.

“We must take the bus network into our own hands, we cannot continue to allow private bus companies to dictate where and when bus routes operate, and the removal of vital routes that simply are not profitable for operators.

“Sheffield and South Yorkshire deserves a bus network that is cheap, reliable and environmentally friendly. We can only achieve this by taking control and bringing the bus network into public ownership.”
