The Chancellor has today laid out his and the government Autumn Budget. Commenting on this Budget, Louise Haigh MP for Sheffield Heeley, said:

“Three Prime Ministers, four Chancellors and 12 years of a Tory government and the country is much worse off.

“This Budget should have provided reassurance to households and businesses in the teeth of a cost-of-living crisis, instead it has piled more tax on working people.

“Inflation is up, wages down and bills soaring but the Chancellor had far too little to support those who need it the most.

“This is an economic crisis made in Downing Street. As ever, the Tories are ensuring it is working people paying the price.”
