Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) Survey

Since I became a MP, I have been campaigning for improved SEND provision, not just in Sheffield but across the country. I’ve stood shoulder to shoulder with hundreds of parents, carers and even grandparents as together we’ve fought, tooth and nail to ensure that their child receives the right assessment and are supported to help fulfil their potential. I’ve heard some heart-breaking stories from people about how they have had to push against every closed door and fight for years to get the support their child needs. I know that the sector has been underfunded for many years, but the lack of funding and resources is badly letting people down. I want to hear what your experiences are of SEN services across Sheffield and what changes you would recommend that would make the system easier to navigate and how we can end this postcode lottery. All stories that are shared with me will remain anonymous.
